Men's Tennis Falls to Rensselaer, 7-2

BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College men's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule with a 7-2 loss to visiting Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon at Farwell Courts.

With the loss, Babson falls to 1-3 on the year, while Rensselaer is now 1-0.

The Engineers got off to a quick start by sweeping all three points from the Beavers in doubles. Sophomore Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) and first-year Alberto De Mendiola (San Jose, Costa Rica) dropped an 8-5 decision at number one, junior Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) and first-year Dan Levitan (Winter Park, Fla.) were beaten 8-4 at number two and senior Dom Wysolmerski (Rutland, Vt.) and sophomore Ho Wang Alastair Ng (Hong Kong) suffered an 8-5 setback at number three.

Roque bounced back in singles play with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at number four, as did Ng, who dropped the first set at number six singles before rallying for a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 win, to account for Babson's points.

The Beavers will begin their spring schedule at Bates on March 3.
