Men's Tennis Takes Down Grinnell for Second Straight Win, 6-3

ORLANDO, Fla.—Three different players picked up wins in both singles and doubles to help the Babson College men's tennis team defeat Grinnell College, 6-3, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus.

With its second consecutive victory, Babson improves to 3-4 on the year, while Grinnell slips to 5-8 overall with its third straight loss.

The Green and White jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles for the second consecutive day with victories at number one and two. First-year Alberto De Mendiola (San Jose, Costa Rica) and sophomore Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) were 8-6 winners at number one, while juniors Dylan Levy (Miami, Fla.) and Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) posted an 8-5 triumph at number two.

De Mendiola rolled to a 7-5, 6-0 victory at number one singles and Rosenbluth recorded a 7-5, 6-1 win at number two. First-year Dan Levitan (Winter Park, Fla.) rallied to force a third set at number three before falling 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (11-9), while Roque breezed to a 6-0, 6-4 triumph at number four.

Sophomore Ho Wang Alastair (Hong Kong) rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) victory at number five, and first-year Dylan Pace (Atherton, Calif.) suffered a 6-4, 6-4 loss at number six.

The Beavers return to action on Wednesday when they take on Hamilton at 9 a.m.
