Men's Tennis Beats Hamilton, 6-3

ORLANDO, Fla.—Babson College rallied from a one-point deficit after doubles with five straight-set wins in singles en route to a 6-3 victory over Hamilton College in non-conference men's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon.

With its third straight win, Babson is now 4-4 overall, while Hamilton dips to 2-5 with its fourth consecutive loss.

First-year Alberto De Mendiola (San Jose, Costa Rica) and sophomore Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) picked up the Beavers' lone point in doubles play with an 8-4 victory at number one. Juniors Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) and Dylan Levy (Miami, Fla.) suffered an 8-6 loss at number two, while seniors Alden Hosmer (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Dom Wysolmerski (Rutland, Vt.) dropped an 8-5 decision at number three.

The Continentals' lead did not last long as the Green and White took each of the top five singles matches in straight sets. De Mendiola was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at number, Rosenbluth rolled to a 6-2, 6-4 victory at number two and Levy was up 6-1, 5-1 when Hamilton's Eyad Nagori was forced to retire at number three.

Roque breezed to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at fourth singles, and sophomore Ho Wang Alastair Ng (Hong Kong) won a pair of tiebreakers in his 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) victory at number five.

Babson wraps up its spring break trip on Thursday when it takes on Hope at 11 a.m.
