MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—Four members of the Babson College men's tennis team competed at the 2017 ITA New England Championships on Friday at Middlebury College.
The Beavers' lone winner on Friday was first-year Andre Libnic (Coral Gables, Fla.), who defeated Justin Wang of Bowdoin, 6-4, 7-5, in the first round of the 64-player singles draw before suffering a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Ananth Raghavan of Williams in the Round of 32. Libnic and classmate Chris Kolesnik (Staten Island, N.Y.) dropped an 8-3 decision in their first round doubles match, while senior Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) and junior Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) were beaten 8-4 by Ethan Hillis and Oliver Kendall of Amherst in another opening round contest.
