WESTWOOD, Mass.—The Babson College men's tennis team collected a pair of New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) awards on Monday afternoon as junior Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) was tabbed as the league's singles player of the week in addition to earning doubles team of the week honors along with first-year Chris Kolesnik (Staten Island, N.Y.).
Rosenbluth extended his winning streak to four with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 victories last week at number two singles. He defeated Court Honda of Springfield on Wednesday and then breezed past Thomas McCorkle of Emerson on Saturday to help Babson win both matches 9-0.
Rosenbluth and Kolesnik also extended their winning streak to four at number one doubles by defeating Honda and Alex Romaine of the Pride, 8-1, on Wednesday before cruising past McCorkle and Brock Higley of the Lions, 8-1, on Saturday.
The Beavers (10-4, 4-1 NEWMAC) had their five-match winning streak snapped in a 7-2 loss to No. 25 MIT on Monday and will host Wheaton in their regular season final on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
