BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College sophomores Dan Levitan (Winter Park, Fla.) and Dylan Pace (Atherton, Calif.) were recognized for their success in the classroom when they were named to the 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Scholar Athlete team for the second year in a row on Tuesday.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale), and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.
Levitan tied for second on the team in singles wins and went 11-3 overall, which includes a 10-2 mark in dual matches on his way to earning the first all-conference honor of his career. Pace tied for second on the squad with a career-high 12 doubles victories, and the duo posted an 8-6 mark in matches at second and third doubles.
Babson finished the 2017-18 campaign with an overall record of 12-5 and reached the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament final for the sixth consecutive season.
