WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) and sophomore Chris Kolesnik (Staten Island, N.Y.) were both recognized when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.
Rosenbluth was named NEWMAC Singles Player of the Week, while he and Kolesnik collected the league's doubles team of the week honor.
Rosenbluth dropped just two games in all while going 2-0 at number two singles last week. He defeated Drew DeLorenzo of Springfield 6-1, 6-0 as part of Babson's 9-0 victory on Wednesday, and followed it up with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Maximo Lawlor of Emerson as the Beavers downed the Lions 6-3 on Saturday.
Rosenbluth and Kolesnik went 2-0 at number one doubles, defeating DeLorenzo and Court Honda of Springfield 8-3 on Wednesday, which was followed by an 8-5 triumph over the Lions' top duo of Bass Lin and Dan Okin on Saturday.
Babson (12-4, 4-1 NEWMAC) returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Wheaton for its regular season finale at 4 p.m.
