WALTHAM, Mass.—The Babson College men's track & field team wrapped up its preparation for next week's ECAC Championships by competing at the New Balance Battle Road Twilight meet on Saturday afternoon at Bentley University.
Junior JD Greenfield (Reading, Mass.) was the Beavers' top performer of the day as he finished fifth with a time of 50.53 in the 400-meter dash. First-year Sayin Shute (Lexington, Mass.) came in sixth with a time of 11.43 in the 100-meter dash and was also part of Babson's first-place 4x100-meter relay team that posted a time of 1:00.87.
Juniors Trevor Lomba (Dartmouth, Mass.) finished 11th in the 400 meters with a time 53.57to edge classmate Justin Dill (Bellingham, Mass.), who was 12th with a time of 53.65. First-year Matthew Dynan (Reading, Mass.) came in 23rd with a time of 3:59.66 in the 1500-meter run, while sophomore John Decker (Parkland, Fla.) was 30th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.10.
Babson will compete in four events at the ECAC Championships beginning on Wednesday at Westfield State University.
