WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College junior Payton Ouimette (Medfield, Mass.) earned her second consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) weekly honor when she was selected as the league's offensive player of the week on Monday.
Ouimette averaged 13.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 52.4 percent shooting as the Beavers split road games against Brandeis and Wellesley. She finished with 15 points and eight boards in Monday's 69-56 loss against the Judges, and followed it up with her fourth double-double of the season in a 67-55 victory over the Blue. Ouimette scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go along with 10 boards and season highs of five assists and three steals in the Beavers' 14th straight conference road win.
A two-time NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week honoree, Ouimette is averaging team highs of 12.7 points and 10.4 rebounds in seven starts this season. She also leads the conference in double-doubles.
Babson (5-2) returns to action next Monday when it hosts Roanoke at 2 p.m.
