Bauman Named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Offensive Co-Player of the Week

WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College first-year Megan Bauman (East Lyme, Conn.) was tabbed as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's basketball Offensive Co-Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Bauman finished with season highs of 18 points and six assists in 39 minutes to help the Beavers knock off 22nd-ranked Ithaca 66-51 in its opening game of the Amherst Tournament on Sunday afternoon. She went 9-for-9 at the free throw line and scored eight points during a pivotal 21-5 third-quarter run that helped the Green and White pull away.

Through three games, Bauman is averaging 11.0 points, 4.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor in 33.3 minutes.

Babson (2-1) remains on the road to face No. 1/1 Amherst on Monday afternoon at 5 p.m.
