Kia Minor begins her third season, and first as the Babson College women's basketball program's full-time assistant coach in 2018. 

The Beavers have captured a share of two straight NEWMAC regular season titles and won a conference tournament championship on the way to winning 24 games and reaching the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 during Minor's first season in 2016. 

A 2013 graduate of Framingham State College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Sociology, Minor enjoyed a successful four-year career for the Rams from 2009-13. A two-time All-MASCAC selection, Minor was also a two-time captain and is fourth on the program’s career scoring list with 1,160 points.

Minor came to Babson following a two-year stint as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y. Following an 11-14 season in 2014-15, the Valiants went 18-8 in 2015-16, recording their second most victories since the 1982-83 campaign while earning their first conference tournament berth since 2011.

In addition to her coaching duties, Minor earned her Master of Science degree in Sport Business Management from Manhattanville in May.
