Kirsten Kilburn is entering her fourth season as an assistant field hockey coach at Babson College after being hired in June 2016. Since arriving at Babson, she has helped the program capture four straight NEWMAC regular season titles and two NCAA Tournament berths, which includes a trip to the national semifinals in 2016. 

A 2015 graduate of fellow New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) member Mount Holyoke College with a degree in psychology and biology, Kilburn comes to Babson after serving as an outreach specialist at Riverside Community Care in Dedham. She worked one-on-one with children and families with severe mental and emotional disorders in addition to teaming with case managers and psychiatrists to set up action plans for each client.

Kilburn enjoyed a tremendous career as a two-sport athlete at Mount Holyoke, earning a pair of All-America honors in field hockey and two all-region accolades in lacrosse. A four-year starter for the Lyons' field hockey squad, she was a three-time All-NEWMAC selection and finished as the program's all-time leader with 54 assists and 178 points. Additionally, Kilburn helped the program reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament while garnering All-America recognition in both 2013 and 2014.

Kilburn started 61 of 62 games over four years for the Mount Holyoke lacrosse program and earned all-conference recognition four times, including three first-team selections. One of just four players in school history to surpass 200 career points, she graduated as the program's all-time leader in goals (196) and ranked second on the Lyons' career list with 224 points. Kilburn also collected IWLCA All-New England Berkshire Region honors following her junior and senior seasons.
