Women's Lacrosse Hosting Online Fundraising Auction

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Babson College women's lacrosse program has announced that it will host an online auction as part of a fundraising effort for its annual spring break trip. This year the Beavers are headed west to train in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The auction, which is open now and will run through Friday, December 23, features a number of fantastic items - all of which would make ideal holiday gifts. Among the items being auctioned are an All-Weather Babson stadium blanket, private lacrosse lessons, a weekend at a Plymouth, Massachusetts beach-front cottage, babysitting and dog walking services, and much more.

To view a complete list of items up for auction, or to learn how to place your bid, visit the lacrosse team's official auction blog page at http://babsonlacrosseauction.blogspot.com/. Inquires about items or any additional questions can be directed to head coach Michelle Smith at msmith@babson.edu.

"We would like to thank everyone who donated items to this year's auction," Smith said. "Without their support, fundraising efforts like this would not be possible. The team is hopeful that everyone in Beaver Nation finds something they like and places a bid, helping us reach our fundraising goals and defray the cost of our training trip this season."

Coming off its fifth consecutive NEWMAC Championship and NCAA Tournament bid, Babson should be in contention again this spring thanks to a host of returning stars and an exciting group of incoming players. The Beavers will open their season with a home game against Roger Williams on Thursday, March 1, at 4 p.m.
