WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College first-year Cricket Fligor (Weston, Mass.) earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week accolades on Monday afternoon as announced by the league office.
Fligor made a career-high 11 saves to help Babson rally for an 11-10 victory at Springfield on Saturday. She stopped five free-position shots, including one with less than nine minutes left to help spark the Beavers' four-goal run to close the game.
Fligor, who has started each of Babson's last five games, has posted an 8.67 goals against average and a .519 save percentage in two NEWMAC contests.
The Beavers (5-4, 2-0 NEWMAC) host Smith in the first of three straight home games on Saturday at 12 p.m.
