WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College sophomore Georgia Salvatore (Westwood, Mass.) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Salvatore scored nine goals and dished out four assists for 13 points in two games for the Beavers. She put up career highs of six goals, four assists and 10 points to help the green and White stay unbeaten in league play with a 19-5 win at Smith on Saturday. Salvatore followed it up with three more goals, all in the first half, as Babson suffered a 24-10 loss at sixth-ranked Tufts on Sunday.
Salvatore ranks fifth in the NEWMAC in goals (33), assists (13) and points (46), and has produced at least three points in six consecutive outings going back to a March 20 victory at Ursinus.
Babson (7-4, 3-0 NEWMAC) wraps up a three-game road trip when it travels to MIT on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
