5/30/09 - W Lacrosse
The final women's lacrosse postseason awards for the 2009 season have officially been announced, and several Babson College players were recognized. Leading the way for the Beavers were juniors Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Pettengill (Hopkinton, Mass.), who both garnered All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Collins was named All-America Second Team - her second straight national award - while Pettengill earned All-America Third Team status. Joining Collins and Pettengill on the IWLCA's All-New England First Team (Berkshires Region) were senior captains Lindsay Bucci (Medford, Mass.) and Jackie Godfrey (Franklin, Mass.), while first-year Trisha Babson (Duxbury, Mass.) was dubbed All-New England Second Team. Godfrey and Collins were also named All-New England First Team by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), with Pettengill earning Second Team recognition. Rounding out the team's impressive list of awards was Babson, who was crowned the ECAC New England Rookie of the Year. [+]


5/18/09 - W Lacrosse
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recently announced its 2009 women's lacrosse postseason award winners, and a total of eight athletes represented three-time conference champion Babson College. Junior Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.) was named NEWMAC Player of the Year while joining senior captain Jackie Godfrey (Franklin, Mass.), senior captain Lindsay Bucci (Medford, Mass.), and junior Kaitlyn Pettengill (Hopkinton, Mass.) on the All-Conference First Team, and first-year Trisha Babson (Duxbury, Mass.) became the program's fifth straight NEWMAC Rookie of the Year while joining sophomore Sarah Macary (Woodbury, Conn.) and senior captain Jess Parker (Cataumet, Mass.) on the All-Conference Second Team. Sophomore Kristy Benoit (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was also honored, as she was named to the Academic All-Conference Team. [+]


5/9/09 - W Lacrosse
The Babson College women’s lacrosse team put up a valiant effort against the top-ranked team in the nation on Saturday, but the 10th-ranked Beavers eventually fell to #1 Salisbury University, 18-7, in the second round of the 2009 NCAA Division III Tournament. With the loss, Babson sees its magnificent season come to a close with a record of 15-3. [+]
