Coming off the top season in program history, the Green and White started fast on Thursday with five skiers finishing in the top 20, led by first-year Elizabeth Baer's (Salt Lake City, Utah) time of 1:44.83, which was good for eighth place.

Junior Tatum Alkier (Collingwood, Ontario) moved up two spots in her final run to finish 12th with a time of 1:46.15, and classmate Michelle Martin (Belmont, Mass.) also slide up two spots with a strong second run to come in 17th with a time of 1:47.27. Sophomores Teagan Mosenthal (Campton, N.H.) and Olivia Burwell (Manchester Center, Vt.) finished less than a half-second apart in 19th and 20th place, respectively, while senior Kristen Sweeney (Westport, Conn.) recorded a 32nd-place showing. Classmate Megan Jones (Essex, Mass.) also finished 37th for Babson.

In the men's race, the Beavers used top-10 finishes from first-years Douglas DeLuca (Holderness, N.H.) and Jack Blanchard (Dover, Mass.) in their collegiate debuts to finish third behind Clarkson and Castleton. DeLuca moved up four spots in his second run to finish fourth overall with a time of 1:34.63, while Blanchard was just 0.19 seconds behind him in seventh place.
