Women's Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Babson College women's soccer program was recognized for their success in the classroom by earning Team Academic Award honors from the United Soccer Coaches earlier this month.

Under the direction of head coach Nellie Pineault, who is now in her 10th season at the helm of the program, the Beavers finished the 2018-19 academic year with a 3.24 grade-point average. Babson, which earned its first award since 2015, was one of 662 women's programs to garner Team Academic Award accolades from the United Soccer Coaches.

To be eligible for consideration for team academic award honors, a school must be an active member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 academic year.

Babson (5-6-1, 1-2-1 NEWMAC), which collected its first league win of the season on Saturday, travels to Springfield on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
