Nellie Pineault begins her 10th season as the head women’s soccer coach at Babson College in 2019.
A 1999 graduate of Saint Michael’s College, Pineault served as an assistant coach for the Beavers from 2004-09 before becoming just the fifth head coach in program history prior to the 2010 campaign. The Green and White has finished at .500 or better in eight of her first nine seasons, and she has led the program to 10 or more victories on five occasions.
Pineault led Babson to an 11-7-2 mark and a spot in the NEWMAC Tournament final in her first season at the helm in 2010. The Beavers advanced to the conference semifinals in three consecutive years between 2012-14, and had a historic 2015 campaign, going 14-4-5 while earning a spot in the NEWMAC Tournament title game and the program’s first NCAA Tournament berth.
Under her guidance, the Green and White has advanced to a pair of conference tournament finals (2010, 2015), and has reached the league semifinals six times in nine seasons.
Pineault has coached 25 all-conference selections and has seen her players earn 14 NSCAA and NEWISA All-New England honors since 2010. Pineault, who earned her MBA from Babson in 2003, helped the Green and White go 60-38-19 with one NEWMAC Tournament finals appearance in six years as an assistant coach. Additionally, her twin sister Christine played soccer and basketball as an undergraduate at Babson.
