Women's Swimming and Diving Notches 148-129 Victory Over Simmons

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Babson College women's swimming and diving team held on for a close 148-129 victory over visiting Simmons College in a meet at Morse Pool on Tuesday night. With the win, the Beavers improved to 2-5 on the season.

Babson posted a total of 13 event victories in the meet - 11 in individual races and two in relay competitions. Sophomores Mallory Mosk (San Clemente, Calif.) and Brittany Bishop (Little Neck, N.Y.) paced the Beavers with three wins apiece. Mosk finished first in the 50 back, 200 back, and 100 I.M., while Bishop won the 50 free, 100 free, and 50 fly.  Babson also received two individual victories from sophomore Meaghan Rohde (St. Paul, Minn.), who won the 500 free and 1000 free.

Other first-place efforts were turned in by sophomore Sara Martinek (Riverside, Ill.) in the 200 free, first-year Hannah Powell (Media, Pa.) in the 50 breast, and sophomore Nikita Nadkarni (North Brunswick, N.J.) in the 200 breast. The 200 medley relay team of Mosk, Nadkarni, sophomore Chandra Kelley (Natick, Mass.), and Powell was also victorious, as was the 200 free relay quartet of Bishop, Kelley, Rohde, and Martinek.
