Bentley Halts Win Streak For Men's And Women's Swimming And Diving

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Babson College men's and women's swimming and diving teams both saw their two-meet win streak come to a halt on Wednesday, as both teams fell victim to visiting Bentley College. The Falcon men prevailed, 135-96, while the Bentley women took their half of the meet, 148-93.
Sophomore Sara Martinek provided two of the three event victories for the Babson women, as she finished first in both the 100 and 200 freestyle races. Martinek also joined sophomore Brittany Bishop, sophomore Meaghan Rohde, and junior Mia Filippini on the Beavers' victorious 200 free relay team.
The Babson men posted four event wins, including first-place finishes from sophomore Tom Foutsitzis in the 100 fly, sophomore Ryan Pope in the 3-meter diving, and first-year Ryan Akiba in the 100 breast. The Beavers' 200 free relay team of Foutsitzis, first-year Edvard Arnet, first-year Joe Kent, and junior Mauricio Krantzberg also earned a victory.
