Chase Johnson joined the Babson College swimming & diving staff as an assistant coach in August 2018.
An experienced coach with nearly a decade of experience, Johnson comes to Babson after spending the last three seasons as an assistant coach at nearby Brandeis University. The Judges' men's and women's teams combined to break 15 event records while finishing eighth at the UAA Championships during the 2017-18 campaign.
Johnson began his coaching career with a two-year stint as an assistant at WPI from 2008-10 and also served as an assistant coach at Bridgewater State University from 2012-15. In addition to his college experience, Johnson also coached a masters team at Liquid Assets New England Swimming (LANES) from 2015-18.
Johnson, who earned his bachelor of science degree in 2008 and his master of science in 2010 from WPI, was a four-year member of the men's swimming & diving program for the Engineers. He participated in all four strokes and the individual medley, and was a part of multiple relay records.
