No. 1 Williams Too Much For No. 34 Women's Tennis

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.—The 34th-ranked Babson College women's tennis team concluded its regular season on Sunday afternoon with a 9-0 loss to top-ranked and unbeaten Williams College at the Torrance M. Hunt '44 Courts.

Williams, which also beat nationally-ranked Tufts on Sunday, is now 16-0 on the year, while Babson drops to 15-8 overall.

Seniors Alex Freeman (Medfield, Mass.) and Alexis Ferraro (Coral Gables, Fla.) lost 8-2 at number one doubles, junior Tori Paolino (East Orleans, Mass.) and first-year Kylie Kam (Honolulu, Hawaii) were defeated 8-1 at number two, and sophomore Dina Weick (Woodbridge, Conn.) and first-year Claire Foster (Orange, Conn.) fell 8-1 at number three.

Freeman was beaten 6-1, 6-1 at number one singles, while Paolino and Ferraro both lost 6-2, 6-1 at number two and three, respectively. Foster dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision at number four, Weick fell 6-1, 6-1 at number five, and Kam was defeated 6-4, 6-2 at number six.

The Beavers, who won their first New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) title since 2003, will find out who their opponent in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Tournament will be on Monday, May 4.
