Women's Tennis Drops Season Finale to No. 8 Bowdoin, 8-1

BRUNSWICK, Maine—The Babson College women's tennis team wrapped up the 2016-17 campaign with an 8-1 loss to eighth-ranked Bowdoin on Friday afternoon at the Pickard Tennis Courts.

The Beavers wrap up their season at 10-9, while the Polar Bears improve to 12-4 on the year.

The Green and White earned its lone point of the match with an 8-6 victory at number two doubles by junior Claire Foster (Orange, Conn.) and sophomore Chloe Brandt (Denver, Colo.). Senior Dina Weick (Woodbridge, Conn.) and junior Kylie Kam (Honolulu, Hawaii) suffered and 8-1 setback at number one, while first-year Emily Roeper (Belle Mead, N.J.) and sophomore Alexandra Blizard (Dover, Mass.) dropped an 8-3 decision at number three.

Babson dropped five of six singles matches in straight sets with the exception of Kam, who won the first at number four before falling 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8).
