BEVERLY, Mass.—Five players were victorious in both singles and doubles as Babson College cruised past Endicott College, 8-1, in non-conference women's tennis action on Thursday afternoon at South Campus Courts.
Babson, which was playing its only dual match of the fall, is 1-0, while Endicott drops to 9-2 on the year.
First-years Alexa Tutecky (North York, Ontario) and Carolina Merz (Santa Tecla, El Salvador) opened the match with an 8-1 win at number one doubles. Sophomore Chloe Brandt (Denver, Colo.) and sophomore Emily Roeper (Belle Mead, N.J.) posted an 8-1 victory at number three, while seniors Claire Foster (Orange, Conn.) and Kylie Kam (Honolulu, Hawaii) completed the sweep with an 8-2 decision at number two.
Tutecky and Merz recorded identical 6-0, 6-1 triumphs at first and second singles, while Foster was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at number three. Brandt cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at number four and Roeper was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at number six.
Babson wraps up the fall portion of the schedule at the 2017 NEWITT Tournament beginning on October 13.
