WESTWOOD, Mass.—A pair of Babson College women's tennis players were honored for their work in the classroom when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released its Academic All-Conference team on Thursday morning.
Blizard has gone 4-2 in all singles matches and is 3-0 at number six for the Green and White, which is off to its best start in league play since 2003. She also has gone 1-1 in doubles matches and picked up her first victory of the year in last Saturday's 9-0 sweep of Clark.
Roeper has been a mainstay in the lineup this season going 8-3 in all singles matches and 10-1 overall in doubles. She has four wins apiece at fifth and sixth singles to go along with a 6-1 mark in conference play, and has recorded six of her nine dual-match doubles victories against NEWMAC opponents.
Babson (11-2, 7-0 NEWMAC) looks to extend its five-match winning streak when it travels to Connecticut College on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
