Track & Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS—The Babson College men's and women's track & field teams were recognized for their success in the classroom on Thursday afternoon as both earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Under the guidance of head coach Russ Brennen, the women's program collected USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors for the 11th season in a row. One of 185 Division III women's program's to be honored, the Beavers finished the spring semester with a 3.19 cumulative grade-point average.

The Babson men were one of 106 Division III programs honored by the USTFCCCA after posting a 3.15 GPA this past spring. The award was the ninth in the last 12 seasons but first since 2015 for Brennen's squad.

All programs with a 3.10 GPA or higher are eligible to earn All-Academic team honors from the USTFCCCA.

The Beavers won a pair of individual titles, earned three all-conference awards and combined to set four school records at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships back in April.
