Women's Volleyball Releases 2018 Schedule

BABSON PARK, Mass—Coming off the program's first NCAA Tournament regional final appearance last fall, Babson College head women's volleyball coach Eric Neely released the Beavers' 2018 schedule on Monday afternoon.

In addition to their rigorous New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) slate, the Beavers will take on seven program's that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2017. The Green and White will hit the road with four matches over two days against Division II competition at the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational on August 31-September 1.

Babson will take on Lasell in its home opener on September 7 and travel to WPI for its first conference match on September 11, which is followed by a return trip to Worcester to face Clark and Johnson & Wales in a tri-match on September 15. The Beavers host Emerson on September 18 and Smith and Keene State in a tri-match at Staake Gymnasium on September 22 before closing out the month with a visit to Coast Guard on September 29.

The Green and White faces road tests at MIT (October 2) and Colby-Sawyer (October 4), and will travel to Endicott to face the Gulls and Plymouth State in a tri-match on October 6. Babson returns home for four straight matches, which includes league tilts against Wheaton (October 9) and Springfield (October 16), as well a clash against Middlebury to begin the New England Challenge on October 19.

The Beavers will take on Tufts and Williams as part of the New England Challenge in Cambridge on October 20, and then visit crosstown rival Wellesley on October 23. The Green and White wraps up the regular season with a tri-match inside Staake Gymnasium against Mount Holyoke and Worcester State on October 27.

The seven-team NEWMAC Tournament begins with quarterfinal matches on November 1. The semifinals are slated for November 3 with the final set to be played at the highest remaining seed on November 5.
