WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Elizabeth Cameron (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) was tabbed as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Cameron put together a monster week averaging 9.08 assists, 1.31 kills and 1.15 service aces per set while helping the Beavers hit .282 as the team in four wins. She started the week with 27 assists, seven kills and four aces in a 3-0 victory over WPI on Tuesday, and followed it up with 27 assists and two kills in a three-set triumph at Simmons on Thursday. Cameron was superb on Saturday in a pair of matches racking up 64 assists, 11 aces and eight kills as the Beavers swept Clark and defeated Kean in four sets.
Cameron, who ranks third in the league in assists per set (9.39), is also averaging 1.65 digs, 1.29 kills, 0.74 aces and 0.64 blocks per set this season for the Green and White.
No. 21 Babson (11-0, 2-0 NEWMAC), which has matched the 1992 squad for the best start in program history, returns to action on Tuesday at Emerson at 7 p.m.
