A 2011 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Sarah Coscia begins her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Babson women's volleyball program in 2019.
The Beavers, who set a school record with 28 victories in 2015, have won three NEWMAC Tournament championships and made four NCAA Tournament appearances during her tenure. The Green and White reached the second round in both 2014 and 2015 before advancing to the Potsdam Regional final in 2017. Babson put together another historic campaign in 2018 as it swept three straight matches at home to capture the Babson Park Regional title on the way to advancing to the national quarterfinals for the first time in school history.
Coscia enjoyed a stellar playing career at UMass-Lowell where she finished fourth in program history with 1,321 kills and fifth in blocks with 306. She led the Northeast-10 Conference in scoring during her senior season and was a first-team All-Conference selection as both a junior and a senior. Coscia also earned All-New England honors in 2009.
Her post-collegiate playing career continued last summer as a member of Team New England, the region's professional volleyball squad. The team competed in the Premier Volleyball League Championship as part of the 2014 USA Volleyball Open National Championship in Phoenix, Ariz.
The Pittsfield, Massachusetts, native currently serves as the freshman girls coach and JV boys coach at Wellesley High School and has also served as the coach of the 17-and-under boys team in the SMASH Volleyball Club.
