Women's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Recognition

NEW ORLEANS—The Babson College women's cross country team was honored for its work in the classroom when it received All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday afternoon.

Under the direction of head coach Russ Brennen, the Beavers garnered their 12th consecutive All-Academic Team award and were one of 215 Division III women's teams to be honored by the USTFCCCA. Four student-athletes finished the semester with a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher, and the team posted a 3.19 cumulative GPA this past fall.

In order to qualify for program honors, teams must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or higher and have competed in at least five different meets during the season.

Babson came in seventh at the 2018 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship and finished 24th at the NCAA regional meet.
